It was a little like a guerrilla style flash mob that hit the streets of #Bath last Sunday when the Bath in fashion blogging team were on the move. Only this flash-mob were dressed with plenty of style and sass and mobiles at the ready.
After a guided tour of the new exhibit at the Fashion Museum (which we would all recommend to you) we divided our 13 bloggers in to three teams. Our tweeters, who had travelled from Swindon, Bristol, Taunton and West Wales, as well as home grown talent, were sent off in to Bath to seek out #SS16 trends in as many of our #Bath retailers as was humanly possible.
The social media squad led by our very own blogger and Social Media Manager Sarah Baker did not disappoint, and Teams Macdonald, Erdem and Rhodes (just three of the world renowned designers visiting #BIF this April) covered over 40 of our brilliant fashion retailers, glorious independents and fantastic high street alike, tracking down ‘brights and stripes’ ‘ruffles, fringing and tailoring’ or ‘monochrome and florals’.
Each team had time with beauty experts inside either Space NK, Nars in Jolly’s or Benefit and Urban Decay in Debenhams at Southgate where brows were mapped or faces were made over and beauty product tips were imparted.
In true blogger style we reconvened to share experiences having shopped until we virtually dropped, and treated ourselves to a well earned cocktail at Be At One; and thank you to them for putting up with quite a noisy but well behaved bunch.
We would like to thank our wonderful retailers, stylists and make-up gurus, our friends at the Fashion Museum and at Southgate, but most of all our thanks go to our team of energetic, creative and utterly gorgeous #BIFBloggers. We greatly enjoyed working with you and are having fun reading your blog posts.
Thanks also due to Anthony Prothero the Bath in Fashion official photographer whose wonderful photographs capturing our day are available to view in the gallery below.
Let’s do it all again very soon! Teams dismissed, for now.
